Legal Structures for Social Enterprises – May 11

TLP offering a free Legal Structures for Social Enterprises Workshop/Webinar on May 11th, 12noon-1:30pm

When creating a new social enterprise, one of the most critical decisions is choosing its legal structure.  Where you obtain capital/funding, whether you will be able to control the strategic direction of the organization, the type of tax treatment your social enterprise will receive, and protection against liabilities of the business are all important considerations when determining the best legal structure for a social enterprise.  This workshop introduces common legal structures for social enterprises, including both for-profit and non-profit arrangements, to help you determine the legal entity that best suits your needs. This seminar is designed for social entrepreneurs, nonprofit board members, nonprofit executive directors, and program managers. The workshop is free to participants and generously sponsored by Kirkland & Ellis. Two formats are offered (in person and webinar). Registration is now closed!
